In Old Lisbon

Hello!

A while ago when it started getting sunnier in Lisbon, me and my family decided to go for a cheeky lunch at Martinho da Arcada and then we went for a stroll nearby, around Terreiro do Paço and the most common places of the famous Baixa Lisboeta. I’m 22 years old and I can say I know my way around Lisbon, however….I’ve never been to the top of the Rua Augusta Arch (Arco da Rua Augusta – check this link out if you ever wanna visit). Therefore, me and my parents decided to go check it out and it was worth it! The view really is worth the visit.

I’m not gonna go all nerdy and all, talking about Lisbon’s (quite cool) history and everything, you can come here and learn for yourself, buy a book, and search the internet all you want ahaha! I’m just here to say that, despite being “the big city”, having lots of traffic and everything, Lisbon does have its charms. Every corner can have a new surprise, whether it’s a new shop, a new bar, a new club, new restaurant, or just an original business, and you never run out of things to do. It can be romantic, myterious, enthusiastic, so basically it suits all moods and lifestyles, in my opinion! Also, the rooftop views, specially of Baixa and overlooking the 25th of April Bridge and the River Tagus, are pretty great as you can imagine. 🙂

If you’re from Lisbon or nearby, go check this place out and enjoy the view. If you’re not from around here, then please do come and visit Lisbon and its surroundings, it’s worth the trip and it’s one of the best cities to travel to!!! (If you don’t believe me, read for yourself at European Best Destinations hehe).

Enjoy the view, enjoy the visit, enjoy the stay…whatever you’re here for, ENJOY!

 Kiss Kiss, Joana
